This is a prequel that actually justifies its existence. It takes the mothers you never knew mattered and builds them into the reason everything in the main series had to break the way it did. Three episodes that move like they have something to prove, swinging between genuine stakes and the kind of character humor that only lands if you've lived in this world already.

Set before the events of My-Otome, this three-episode sci-fi OVA prequel tells the origin stories of two women. Lena Sayers, who will become Arika Yumemiya's mother, bears the Lofty Crimson Jade / Blue Sky Sapphire GEM. Sifr Fran is Nina's biological mother and a future-past queen of Windbloom Kingdom as seen from the main series. The story also shows how Schwartz, Aswad, the Garderobe Academy and its Five Columns came to be. Sifr's kidnapping and a momentous revelation about Lena's GEM set the course of the future for both of them and for those around them.
