Kakashi Hatake and his students Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno set out to find a missing person, but the job goes wrong when Kakashi is caught in a suspicious trap and cut off from the others. Mysterious ninjas then ambush the three students and carry Sakura away, so Naruto and Sasuke go after her. Sasuke uncovers something troubling about the mission, yet the two boys keep fighting to bring the team back together and finish the assignment. The one-episode special is an original story set during the period when Sasuke still belonged to Kakashi's squad. It was made in full CG to mark ten years of the Naruto manga, and it was screened at the Jump Super Anime Tour 2009 events alongside nine other Shounen Jump titles. It mixes action and adventure with comedy.
