The show throws everything at the wall because it knows comedy needs chaos to breathe. Musical numbers arrive without warning and derail the plot entirely, but that's the point, Hideki's terrible band dreams matter less than watching four misfits and a panda actually like each other while they're scheming. By episode twelve you've watched them fail upward so many times that the dome concert becomes real, and you realize the show never needed it to be possible, just worth wanting.
Hideki and his ragtag crew operate out of Nerima with one singular goal: fund a concert dome in their hometown. Their band includes his cousin Mako, his brother Ichiro, and Pandaikon, a panda Hideki found in his yard that looks like a daikon radish. Their farm doesn't bring in money fast enough, so they turn to get-rich-quick schemes, hunting down villains and taking their dirty money. Each adventure turns into a musical showdown where the brothers sing their way to victory over the bad guys. Nabeshin runs a rental shop that supplies them with ridiculous gadgets that always seem to help them win. The twist: despite their efforts to pocket stolen cash from defeated villains, the money always slips through their fingers. Even with Inspector Karakuri investigating them, they keep chasing their dream and fighting for justice their own way in this musical comedy.
