Its story was drawn from the sixth annual contest run by the greeting card site Nenga Aisatsujo, which invited entrants to share heartwarming recollections tied to these seasonal greetings. The winning story, by Sachiyo Okuno, earned the contest's newly created Japanese Postal Service Award.
