It takes a simple errand run and detonates it into a school-wide mess, which is exactly the deal you signed up for. Fushikizou clocks a mysterious woman getting chased by Tasogaredoki ninjas, and the punchline lands before the plot does: she's Hieta Happousai, head of the Dokutake ninjas, in a disguise nobody sane would fall for. From there it does the thing this series does better than anything, escalating a nothing incident until the entire Ninjutsu Academy is somehow implicated and no adult is in control. The comedy runs on rhythm, not surprise. You know Dokutake will fumble it, you know the kids will be three steps ahead, and watching it happen on schedule is the whole pleasure. Twenty-two minutes of chaos that respects you enough not to explain the joke.
