Anime Like Nozomi Witches
A girl moves into your life with a dream she won't explain, dragging you toward boxing whether you want it or not. Ryoutaro keeps saying no. She keeps finding reasons he can't. SYNOPSIS
Ryoutaro moves into a new neighborhood and meets Nozomi, the charming girl next door who's equal parts athlete and aspiring actress. She's convinced he's destined for the boxing ring, even though he's never thrown a punch in his life. Before he can protest, she forges his way onto the high school boxing club, claiming he's a natural talent. What starts as Nozomi's wild scheme becomes something real when Ryoutaro discovers he actually has genuine skill as a boxer. Success comes faster than expected, placing him in tournaments and earning him recognition. But Ryoutaro's caught between two competing forces: his growing confidence in the sport and his uncertainty about whether this is really his dream or just Nozomi's. As he climbs higher in the rankings, he has to figure out what he actually wants separate from her influence. The closer he gets to victory, the more complicated their dynamic becomes, forcing both of them to reckon with what they're really after.
