This is a show that treats girls' baseball with the same weight and respect as every sports anime gives to boys' teams, refusing the "cute girls doing sports" angle entirely. Every player has a reason they're here that has nothing to do with proving femininity. The team's path to Koshien isn't inspiration porn, it's competitive, brutal, and staffed by athletes who want to win more than they want to be likable.

Ryo Hayakawa, the daughter of a legendary pitcher, leads a new all-girl baseball team at the Kisuragi School. The team is the creation of Keiko Himuro, the school's chairman, who wants to show that girls can hold their own against boys on the diamond. Their target is Koshien Stadium, a stage reserved for the very best teams. The series is a sports drama with a thread of romance, set around the team's push toward that goal.
