Keiichi is actually allowed to be flustered and stupid in front of his goddesses, which makes watching him stumble through immortal romance feel earned rather than written. The chemistry between the cast snaps into focus here, Peorth's arrival doesn't just add another pretty face, it forces the existing dynamic to reshape itself, and suddenly you're watching characters react to each other instead of hitting their marks. The animation polish makes the comedy land harder. By the end you're not waiting for the romance to move; you're invested in how these four people actually live together.
Set a year after the original Oh! My Goddess, this supernatural romantic comedy returns to college student Keiichi Morisato, whose life has been taken over by three goddesses living with him: Belldandy, Urd, and Skuld. A year earlier, Belldandy stepped out of his mirror and vowed to stay by his side forever. Now a fresh danger threatens to end the contract that binds them. When a fourth goddess, Peorth, turns up, the household breaks into squabbles over rank and claims on Keiichi, and the fragile balance between human and divine collapses into chaos.
