Four ten-year-old girls become mothers to a baby witch queen, and the show treats this impossible premise with absolute seriousness. After losing their witch powers at the end of the first season, Doremi, Hazuki, Aiko and Onpu find their way back into the Witch World, secretly nudged there by the Witch Queen. Inside a garden of blue roses, they see a baby born from a flower, a child with great magical power who may one day become the next Witch Queen. Because they witnessed her birth, the Queen makes them the baby's guardians and tells them they must raise her for a whole year. Doremi names her Hana. In return, the four become witch apprentices again and receive newer, stronger powers, and caring for Hana is also how they can win back their magic crystals. The big question is whether four ten-year-olds, still children themselves, can really act as mothers to a newborn. Alongside them, Pop keeps trying to catch up with her clumsy older sister, and Majorika still hopes to return to her normal self. This mahou shoujo season blends comedy, drama and slice-of-life moments.
