Hina Satou is a cheerful, energetic 13-year-old junior high student in a port town in Miyagi Prefecture, in the Tohoku region, and she loves figure skating. Her mother died in the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, and Hina now lives with her father in temporary housing. She carries sad memories of the disaster alongside fond memories of her gentle mother, yet she keeps working toward her dreams. The special is a short slice of life story, aired in three versions of different lengths.
