This is the appetizer Toei slipped in front of Film Gold, and it hits like a sugar rush: one hour, no filler arc bloat, just the Straw Hats chasing a myth. Olga is the whole engine, a runaway kid from Alchemi with the entire Marine apparatus at her heels because somebody wants what she knows about Pure Gold. Gildo Tesoro never has to leave his chair to be terrifying here. He owns the black market and he has Navy HQ in his pocket, so he simply buys Mad Treasure and points him at a little girl. Watching Luffy decide, instantly and without argument, that Olga is crew for the duration is the reason people stay with this series for a thousand episodes. Alchemi vanished two hundred years ago, and the show makes you want to find it too.

The Straw Hat Pirates meet Olga, a girl who got away from Alchemi, an island once famed for its metalwork and for making Pure Gold, a substance so valuable it could buy the whole world. Alchemi vanished two centuries ago, and Olga alone knows where the Pure Gold lies. The Marines are chasing her, and Gildo Tesoro, who holds sway over Navy headquarters and the black market, sends the treasure hunter Mad Treasure after her as well. Olga ends up sailing with the Straw Hats in search of the lost island, secretly scheming to use them and keep the fortune for herself. This one-episode special mixes action, adventure, comedy and fantasy.
