A man runs from poverty into the mountains and sees something that shouldn't exist. That moment of witness changes everything, pulls him into a debt he can't repay. The ogre transformation isn't a spectacle, it's the price of wanting more than your village can give you, and Yosuke learns it by stealing from something that bleeds.

Yosuke, a young man from the poor village of Shiiba in Hyuuga, where the soil yields little more than millet and beans, walks away from his work, dreaming of a life of wealth and comfort without labor. He flees into the mountains, and one night he watches a blue ogre clinging to a great cedar split open its back, shed its skin and turn into a red ogre. Yosuke takes the cast-off skin, puts it on and begins committing crimes in the village. When he tries to remove it, though, it will not come off. Made as an educational film, the single-episode OVA draws on the folklore of the red and blue oni to teach that honest effort and good faith pay off.
