Kagura drifts between wakefulness and dream, and the spirits follow her into that soft space where anything can surface without warning. Season three settles deeper into that half-lucid rhythm, trading plot for the quiet weight of small supernatural encounters. You're not meant to understand what's happening. You're meant to sit still and let it happen to you, the way Kagura does, night after night in that courtyard.

Onmyoji: Heian Monogatari 3 is the third season of the Onmyouji: Heian Monogatari ONA, a 12-episode 2022 release. Its genres are comedy, slice of life and the supernatural. In the first season, the framing device was a dream: on a moonlit night among falling cherry petals, a butterfly spirit called Kochou no Sei scatters its glittering dust over Kagura, she drifts off to sleep, and the tales begin inside her dream.
