Eita Kidou has one goal in high school: study hard enough to get into medical school. After his parents' marriage fell apart through infidelity, he wants nothing to do with love. That changes when Masuzu Natsukawa, the silver-haired school beauty who has just come back to the country, suddenly confesses to him. Her real aim is a fake relationship that will stop others from asking her out, since she finds romance just as distasteful as he does. When Eita says no, she threatens to post the embarrassing contents of his journal online. Now pretending to date the most sought-after girl at school, he faces envious classmates and confessions of his own. Chiwa Harusaki, his childhood friend whom he treats like a little sister, is not willing to let the arrangement go unchallenged, and his former girlfriend Himeka Akishino and his fiancée Ai Fuyuumi are unhappy about it too. The result is a romantic comedy about a boy trying to keep his studies on track while his personal life becomes more and more tangled.
