The Pleiades maids actually get to breathe here instead of standing in the background of the main series looking cute. Every episode is deliberately paced to let gags land, chibi designs doing physical comedy that somehow lands harder than it has any right to. This is what happens when you give underutilized characters room to be funny on their own terms, not just support players in someone else's story.

Overlord: Ple Ple Pleiades is a set of eight comedy specials from 2015 that recast the cast of Overlord as super-deformed characters with simplified animation. They were packaged with the Blu-ray and DVD volumes of the main series. They began appearing after the fifth episode of Overlord aired, and each one could be watched on the official website for a short time afterward. The shorts mix action, comedy and fantasy, and they are aimed at viewers already familiar with Overlord.
