Sixteen-year-old Haruka Asahina races in F4 while living at Komaki Motors, a family-run auto-body shop in Shizuoka prefecture. His team is small: owner and mechanic Futoshi Komaki, his son Kotarou, and Haruka himself. As a family business, they usually get no backing from major manufacturers. Haruka goes straight at the top teams, hoping to catch the eye of those big companies and earn a podium finish of his own. Meanwhile, freelance photographer Kouya Madoka, stuck in a long slump after one of his photos set off a wave of online harassment, takes a job covering F4. Watching Haruka on the track stirs something in him, and he decides to support both the driver and the badly underfunded Komaki team. The steep costs of the sport soon push him to find other ways to help. The result is a sports drama about a small team chasing big ambitions.
