A girl who draws things into existence solves problems nobody else can see coming. Yumi's real power isn't the wand. It's that she notices things: flowers, people, the small fractures in everyday life that need fixing before they break completely. Yumi Hanazono has always been gifted with a pencil. Her parents run a flower shop and cafe out of the family home, and she shares their love of flowers. Seeing her devotion, two cat-like flower fairies from the Flower Planet, Kakimaru and Keshimaru, give her a magic wand and a pendant. Whatever she sketches in the air with the wand becomes a real object, but only for a short while. Once the pendant starts flashing, she has just thirty seconds before the magic fades. Yumi deals with the everyday trouble any young girl faces: family, school, boys and a grumpy set of neighbours. Magic looks like an easy answer, and she means to use it for good, but she is impulsive and clumsy, so her spells often stir up bigger problems around her. This lighthearted fantasy comedy is the fourth entry in the Magical Girl Series.
