In a version of Japan where youkai have begun living side by side with humans, supernatural creatures of every kind sit in regular classes at an ordinary school. Human student Oohashi Shingo develops feelings for Fujimura Hatoko, known as Petoko, a half-youkai petopeto. Her powers are modest: she can stick to what she adores, and she adores Shingo. She also has an enchanting cuteness, and she can vanish, an ability she mostly keeps under control. Skin contact leaves her stuck to the other person until she falls asleep. The show mixes comedy, fantasy and romance over thirteen episodes.
