A lottery ticket gets you a talking stone gargoyle who moves into your house and decides he owns the place. The entire show is just him being insufferably confident about his role while Futaba slowly realizes she's adopted a magical roommate with opinions about everything. Comedy that trusts absurdity over explanation, and somehow makes you want to live in this house too.
Futaba's life takes an unexpected turn when her lottery ticket delivers something far stranger than cash: a talking stone gargoyle that materializes on her family's doorstep. The creature claims to be the rightful guardian of the Yoshinaga household, appointed to protect it from supernatural intrusions. Problem is, Futaba never asked for a magical protector, and the gargoyle's methods range from hilariously ineffective to catastrophically destructive. What unfolds is a comedy of cohabitation as Futaba attempts to navigate daily life with an ancient, somewhat clueless creature convinced it's fulfilling an important cosmic duty. The gargoyle's well-intentioned interventions create chaos in her home, at school, and wherever else it waddles into trouble. Between managing the creature's absurd logic and dealing with the occasional supernatural incident the gargoyle actually was meant to handle, Futaba discovers that the worst prize might not be a stone guardian, but learning to live alongside one.
