A kid raised to fear Pokémon meets one that mirrors his own loneliness. The show trusts that quiet moment more than any battle could. By the end, you understand why a father's rule breaks the second his son actually listens to what a Pokémon is trying to say.

Akio grows up with a lesson from his father: humans and Pokémon are not meant to share a life together. That belief meets a challenge when he comes across a Hisuian Zorua in the Hisui region, the land where Pokémon Legends: Arceus takes place. The time he spends with Zorua may teach him something quite different from what his father told him. Told across three episodes, the story is a short fantasy adventure centered on one boy and one Pokémon.
