Char's entire arc, from idealist to terrorist to ghost, collapses into a single voice in the dark, reciting the weight of decisions that never got easier. The format strips away spectacle and leaves only a man confronting what he actually became across four shows and decades of real time. You're not watching Gundam anymore; you're listening to someone finally admit the cost of being right about everything and still losing.

Char Aznable's experiences across Gundam, Gundam Z, Gundam ZZ and Char's Counterattack are retold in this one-episode mecha drama special, which also sets the stage for Gundam Unicorn. It began as a live event in which Char's voice actor gave a public recitation while the anime played alongside. The DVD version moves back and forth between that recitation and footage from the series.
