A kid from outer space pretends to be human, and the show treats that deception as completely normal while focusing on what actually matters: stopping the bad guys. Prince Planet works because it never wastes time on the "fish out of water" angle, he figures out Earth in episode one and moves on to real threats. The genius is that this 1965 show understands what superhero teams are actually for: kids watching kids work together, no angst required.

Prince Planet, a member of the Universal Peace Corps from the planet Radion, is picked from hundreds of volunteers and sent to Earth. The Galactic Union of Worlds wants to learn whether humanity is fit to join, and his job is to fight evil and cruelty wherever it threatens the planet. A pendant powered from Radion lets him fly, fight and take the form of an ordinary boy. Found by Diana Worthy, he takes the name Bobby and lives on a ranch with her and her father, Pops. Alongside new comrades, he battles villains from space and from Earth, though he sometimes looks up at the stars and misses home. The show is a 1965 science fiction action series.
