Two hours of pure kinetic fury where every frame is painted like someone set animation itself on fire. The plot is basically a scaffold for Trigger to flex every technique they've mastered, and it works because the spectacle never stops moving long enough to ask questions. Character development gets crushed under the wheels, but if you're here for a visual experience that doesn't apologize for its own excess, this is the closest thing anime has to a theme park ride.

Thirty years ago, a mutation gave rise to the Burnish, a race able to create and command fire, and their flames destroyed half the world. Burnish still surface without warning, and the thriving republic of Promepolis credits its leader, Kray Foresight, with holding them back. Galo Thymos is an energetic, hotheaded rookie on Burning Rescue, a firefighting squad that puts out Burnish blazes using gear built by mechanic Lucia Fex, and he sees Foresight as his hero for once saving his life. When a Burnish terrorist group called Mad Burnish spreads chaos across the nation, Galo crosses paths with its leader, Lio Fotia. That encounter sends him searching for the truth about the Burnish and leads him to doubt what he thought he knew. The film is a science fiction action story built around mecha battles.
