SYNOPSIS
Su-ji's transfer to Love High School seems routine at first. The new student plays by the rules: friendly greetings, genuine attempts to connect with classmates, genuine optimism about fitting in. Then she becomes the Pyramid Game's target, and everything collapses. The Pyramid Game is something Su-ji has never encountered before, a system of hierarchy and cruelty that treats certain students as acceptable prey. Once marked, there's no escaping the relentless bullying that follows. Her classmates don't see a person anymore. They see permission to hurt someone. Trapped in a school where the rules aren't written but universally understood, Su-ji fights to understand how to survive, let alone escape. Every day brings new humiliation, new betrayals, new ways to realize that kindness means nothing inside this brutal social structure. What starts as confusion becomes desperation as she discovers that being chosen means everyone becomes complicit in your suffering.
