Mage Mo Fan and his partner Ling Ling get pulled into a long-unsolved case after a mysterious invitation arrives from the Hunter King. Through a run of adventures and investigations, they learn that everything was a conspiracy set in motion by the Red Beast. By parasitizing demons such as Yi Qiu and Lu Kun, the Red Beast grows stronger with each step and edges nearer to its ultimate goal. After a life-or-death battle, Mo Fan defeats it with Ling Ling and his friend Wang Yue Qian Xun helping him, only to find that he has beaten just one of its clones, and that he has already become part of the Red Beast's scheme himself. The six episodes deliver action and fantasy.
