Leina's championship is over when Alicia, a magician serving the royal court, turns to black magic and opens a gateway to another dimension. A rabbit draws her through it into Melfairland, a realm running its own contest to award a Queen's Blade. Alicia joins that tournament hoping to find a way back to her own world. Set in a parallel multiverse with a new cast, the story has its fighters battling with grimoires, which are magical books. The two-episode OVA was produced to mark the tenth anniversary of Queen's Blade and was packaged with a visual combat book from the series. It mixes action, adventure, fantasy and ecchi.
