Nabiki finally gets to be the narrator, which means someone is actually calling out how absurd this whole situation is. The special doesn't pretend the Tendo house isn't basically a disaster zone sustained by one girl's ability to profit off chaos. It's Ranma 1/2 acknowledging itself: funny because the family knows exactly how weird their life has become.

Nabiki Tendo narrates a look back over Ranma 1/2, commenting on the assorted characters her family has had to put up with. The review is intercut with newly animated scenes of Nabiki at home: lounging around the house, soaking in the bath, and puzzling over who P-chan really is. The result is a comedic, slice-of-life special built on character observations rather than plot. It was released only through the Kitty Animation Circle.
