Anime Like Ranma ½: One Flew Over the Kuno's Nest
Kuno's incompetence finally catches up to him in the most spectacular way possible, a literal Phoenix nesting on his skull while Tokyo burns around him. The movie leans into pure chaos instead of pretending there's a real plot underneath. The soundtrack carries the whole thing on its back, turning what should be a forgettable side story into something that actually sticks with you.
SYNOPSIS
Kuno's obsession with defeating Ranma reaches new heights when he acquires a mysterious egg rumored to contain the soul of a legendary phoenix. Convinced that hatching this artifact will grant him the power to finally triumph over his rival, Kuno brings it home and waits for the magic to unfold. Instead, the bird emerges directly onto his head, immediately proving far more chaotic than anticipated. With the phoenix rampaging through Tokyo and showing no signs of leaving, Kuno becomes an unwilling host to absolute mayhem. Ranma jumps at the chance to solve this disaster, but not out of pure heroism. Getting that bird off Kuno's head means getting Kuno out of his life, at least temporarily. What follows is controlled chaos as Ranma teams up with friends both willing and reluctant to contain a creature that has no interest in playing by anyone's rules. The action kicks into overdrive as they chase an unpredictable force of nature through the city, forced to improvise solutions that range from clever to completely ridiculous.
