Kuno's incompetence finally catches up to him in the most spectacular way possible, a literal Phoenix nesting on his skull while Tokyo burns around him. The movie leans into pure chaos instead of pretending there's a real plot underneath. The soundtrack carries the whole thing on its back, turning what should be a forgettable side story into something that actually sticks with you.

Kuno buys a strange egg, convinced that the powers of the legendary Phoenix will help him beat Ranma at last. When it hatches, the bird comes out right on top of his head, and at first it gives him the edge he wanted, letting him defeat Ranma. The only way to make the Phoenix leave is to feed it growth pills, but the creature swells to enormous size while staying perched on Kuno's head, then takes off across Tokyo, smashing buildings and anything else in its path. Ranma, Akane, Ryoga, Shampoo and Ukyo have to combine their efforts to drive the bird off Kuno and send it flying away. The film mixes action, adventure and comedy with a supernatural twist.
