Firefighters are the closest thing to soldiers most civilians ever see, and this show treats them like it. Han Yan and his crew aren't heroes waiting for the camera, they're professionals who crack jokes between shifts and carry the weight of every life they couldn't save. The rescue sequences have teeth because the show knows that fire doesn't care about your character arc, and neither does the cold precision it takes to walk into it anyway.

Han Yan heads the Feiliu Fire Station, where he leads a crew of young firefighters that includes Jiang Mingsheng, Ning Wei and Fan Haoyuan. Together they pour their youth and energy into work on the front line of firefighting, facing tense, high-stakes rescues. The same brigade that shows real courage during a call turns out to be endearingly playful when things are quiet at the station. Mixed in with the rescue action are intriguing suspense cases and solid, practical details about how firefighting works. Billed as China's first anime series centered on firefighting, this six-episode action drama offers a different take on passionate youth.
