This is a 22-minute love letter to what made Naruto worth a thousand episodes. Every frame moves with the kind of polish the series itself couldn't always afford, and the soundtrack hits you the moment the first reanimated scene appears. You need to have lived with these characters to feel what this special does, but if you have, you'll watch it twice in a row without thinking.

ROAD OF NARUTO is a single special made to mark twenty years of the Naruto anime, released by Studio Pierrot as an anniversary music video. It strings together memorable moments from across both Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden, and instead of reusing footage from the original episodes it redraws each scene with fresh animation. Apart from the opening, which shows part of Naruto Uzumaki's fight with Sasuke Uchiha at the close of the Sasuke Recovery Mission, it plays without dialogue.
