A stuttering loner walks into high school swinging, and every club in the building wants to use him as their weapon. The joke is that Maeda doesn't care about their wars. He only cares about boxing, about becoming something real, and that single-minded dream pulls everyone around him into his orbit whether they planned on it or not. By the end, the film has quietly turned a street-level revenge story into something about what it actually costs to stand next to someone who refuses to compromise.

Maeda is a new student at Teiken High School, a clumsy young man who stutters whenever his nerves get the better of him. He draws attention right away by striking a teacher during the entrance ceremony. Several school clubs soon try to recruit him, seeing in him the muscle they need to settle scores with rival clubs. Maeda, though, prefers to keep to himself and cares about only one thing: his dream of becoming a boxing champion. The film mixes comedy and drama as it follows this awkward loner through his start at a new school.
