Jun reaches across time to tell his younger self how to undo everything, and watches him do it anyway. The show is a conversation between two versions of the same person learning that fixing the past means accepting you were never broken in the first place. Only works if you've loved these dolls before, but for anyone who has, it's a goodbye letter that doubles as a love letter to the entire series.

At his lowest point, Jun Sakurada gets an impossible opportunity: contact with a future version of himself who never won the key and never brought the Rozen Maidens into his life. That adult Jun has left his school trauma behind, studying at college and working in a bookstore, yet he feels he belongs nowhere, and the messages from his younger self become a rare light in his dull existence. When he finds a book with instructions for making a Rozen Maiden, along with parts for a familiar red-dressed doll, his purpose becomes clear: bring Shinku to life in his world. The stakes are high, because Kirakisho, the seventh Rozen Maiden, is hunting for a body and a master, and both worlds are at risk. The Alice Game turns into a struggle across dimensions, blending action, comedy and drama as two paths that were never supposed to meet collide.
