You fall in love with a ghost trapped in glass, and the show spends three episodes making you understand why that love is beautiful and horrifying at the same time. Eiri doesn't just see her, he becomes obsessed with freeing her, but every act of devotion pulls him deeper into her past, until you can't tell if he's saving her or if she's consuming him. The art direction turns a single antique glass into the entire world, rotating and reflecting his obsession back at him until the boundary between romantic and parasitic dissolves completely.

Eiri Kurahashi, an art student, works in an antique shop, where he spots a girl inside an old Venetian glass that his uncle brought back from France. She appears to be alive, moving through a strange world sealed within the glass. He cannot stop thinking about her, and his sketchbook fills with drawings of her face, while his friends notice him growing distracted and unlike himself. At midnight he finally reaches her. She is Cossette, the daughter of an aristocrat in the 18th century, killed by her fiancé, the painter Marcelo Orlando. Her soul is held in the glass, and she says it can go free only if a man agrees to bear the punishment for Marcelo's crimes. This is a psychological horror romance with supernatural elements.
