As the Muromachi Shogunate weakens under prolonged war, the land of Hinomoto sinks into the violent Warring States period. Deep in the unexplored forests of Kinokuni, the Saika Ikki mercenaries fight with firearms beneath the Yatagarasu banner, led by Magoichi, a foreigner who took on the name as their head. Elsewhere, a man called Saburou senses the threat of aggression from the European powers and works to shield Hinomoto from invasion. Two people who were never meant to meet have their fates bound together in the battle against these foreign invaders. The action series adapts a multimedia project that began with a stage play and a manga, and it centers on the bond between Magoichi and the warlord Oda Nobunaga.
