The Ghost Knights exist to be demolished, and the movie knows exactly how satisfying that demolition needs to be. Eris hijacking Hyoga's friend adds real weight to what could have been a standard villain setup, forcing the Saints into a fight that costs them something human before the chaos goddess even fully wakes up. This is Saint Seiya doing what it does best: stacking one impossible enemy on top of another until your only option is to punch harder and believe louder.
Eris, the goddess of chaos, returns by taking over the body of Elien, a friend of Hyoga. To finish her resurrection she acquires the golden apple and uses it to drain the life energy of Athena, intending to turn the world into a place ruled by chaos. Before Seiya and his friends can strike at Eris herself, they must first overcome the Ghost Knights. The film is an action and adventure outing with science fiction elements, set within the Saint Seiya franchise.
