The Gold Saints you've worshipped for 114 episodes come back dead, and the show spends thirteen hours making you watch them die again. The Bronze Saints aren't heroes here, they're children walking into a war they were never meant to survive, and every victory tastes like ash. This is what happens when a shounen anime decides that spectacle means nothing if the people you love aren't screaming.

Hades intends to conquer the world. To reach that goal, he sends Gold Saints who have already died to claim the head of Athena. Seiya and his fellow Bronze Saints step in to help defend her, but the Gold Saints who are still alive do not welcome their aid. Released as a thirteen-episode OVA, the story mixes adventure with science fiction.
