Harry doesn't believe in his own powers, and neither do you, and that's exactly what makes the show work, every terrifying thing that happens to him lands because he's as confused and powerless as the audience. The antagonists believe in him absolutely. They hunt him like he's already something dangerous, forcing transformation through pure psychological terror. By the end you understand why a 16-year-old could be broken into something unrecognizable just by being afraid of the wrong people at the wrong time.

Harry McQuinn lives in a small town on the American West Coast in the very near future, and he is far from a typical teenager.
