Sentenced to Be a Hero returns for a second TV season blending action, drama and fantasy. The earlier season was set in a world where being made a hero is a form of punishment. Xylo Forbartz, a condemned goddess killer, fights endless waves of monstrous abominations as a member of Penal Hero Unit 9004 and is brought back after every death. In that first season, Xylo's encounter with a mysterious new goddess led to an unlikely alliance and the start of a rebellion against the endless sentence.
