Matake spending an entire hot springs episode trying to confess to Eita, only to get cock-blocked by every possible force in the universe, is peak Shana comedy. The show understands that romance doesn't need to be profound to be funny, just relentless in its timing. What makes it work is that you actually want her to succeed, so every interruption lands harder than it should.

Yuji and Shana's class sets out on a trip that begins with visits to a string of temples and shrines and ends at a hot springs resort. Along the way, Matake Ogata tries to tell Eita Tanaka how she feels about him, but one complication and bout of hijinks after another keeps getting in her way. The result is a single comedy special with romance, fantasy and ecchi touches.
