This show does not flirt with the line, it moves in and unpacks. Kouta spends twelve episodes being physically overwhelmed by Chizuru, a fox spirit who treats consent as a suggestion and a school hallway as a bedroom, while Nozomu shows up frosty and territorial to turn it into a wolf versus fox tug of war with a terrified country boy as the rope. There is no plot to speak of and nobody grows an inch, which is exactly why it works: it commits to being one thing with zero apology, and the soundtrack is genuinely nicer than the material deserves. Reviewers who reach for Ikkitousen and hentai as reference points are not being cruel, they are being accurate, and fans of it know that. Twelve episodes is the perfect length for a joke told this loudly. You either laugh at Kouta squirming by minute four or you close the tab, and both reactions are correct.

Kouta moves to the city for high school expecting a fresh start, but his quiet country boy routine gets obliterated the moment he meets Chizuru, a shameless fox spirit who literally can't keep her hands off him. She's relentless, aggressive, and operating on a completely different set of rules than human girls. Then things get worse, or better depending on your perspective: Nozomu, a reserved wolf spirit with a cold demeanor, also takes interest in him, creating a love triangle that pulls Kouta directly into the supernatural world whether he wants it or not. What unfolds is pure comedic chaos. His school life grows more hectic by the day as supernatural events keep piling up and other youkai set their sights on him too. The show swings between genuine slapstick humor and the unhinged energy of its leads, all while Kouta stumbles through romantic entanglement with creatures who don't understand human boundaries. It's ecchi comedy with heart, built on the friction between the supernatural world crashing into his everyday life.
