Three side stories adapted from the light novels fill these four OVA episodes. In the first, Yuji sets off a Treasure Tool pointed at Shana, and the two end up in each other's bodies, a switch they must hide from everyone around them. The second follows Yuji and Wilhelmina as they trail a secretive Shana after school, desperate to learn why she keeps coming home late. The third and fourth episodes form a two-part story in which Shana hunts a Tomogara by taking over the existence of Oogami Junko, a Torch the creature fed on. Retracing the girl's final days, Shana has to handle both the investigation and the family troubles Junko left behind. There's comedy in the body-swap chaos and tension in the mystery of Shana's hidden activities, making these episodes a side door into the series for fans already invested in its characters.
