Shana and Kazumi's letters to a boy who doesn't exist anymore hit harder than any fight scene could. Season III strips away the romance comedy fluff and commits fully to what it was always building toward, letting the story become something genuinely strange and mythologically ambitious instead of retreating into fan service.
