Kou and Takumi are already stuck with each other, so this season stops pretending they're going anywhere. The comedy is just watching two people who chose wrong the first time figure out how to share a life in a detective agency that runs on pure chaos. By the end, you realize the whole show is about brothers who don't know how to want the same things, learning to be okay with that.

Shin Strange+ is the second season of Strange+, a short-episode comedy with a slice-of-life bent. Kou travels to the slums hoping to track down his older brother Takumi, who left home years earlier and vanished. He finds him almost at once, only to learn that Takumi now runs the Mikuni Detective Agency and has no plans to return home. Kou settles on staying at the agency himself, taking on assorted chores there.
