The first episode drops you into a town where something is fundamentally wrong, and by the time you realize what's happening, you're already in another world with no way back. Souma and Kureha aren't given time to process anything, and neither are you. The setup is sharp enough to hook you through a 13-episode sprint, even if the characters never quite catch up to the story moving around them.

People keep vanishing in Tatsumi Town, and Kiriya receives a vision of a lovely, mysterious girl with pointed ears. A book describing another world turns up. Mao, hunting for her long lost friend Zero, crosses into our world and runs into Souma and Kureha, then accidentally carries them back to her own. The pair must now find a way home, but unseen forces are at work, and returning proves harder than they expected in this action fantasy adventure.
