SYNOPSIS
A string of vanishings plagues Tatsumi Town, and Kiriya keeps seeing visions of an elegant elf girl he doesn't recognize. When a mysterious book surfaces and Mao stumbles through from another dimension searching for her lost friend, she accidentally drags two ordinary students, Souma and Kureha, back to her world with her. What should be a simple return home becomes increasingly complicated as the trio discovers they're caught in the middle of something far darker than anyone anticipated. Forces moving in the shadows of both worlds seem determined to keep them separated, and every attempt to find a way back only reveals new dangers waiting in the depths of the alternate realm. Souma and Kureha must navigate unfamiliar magic, dangerous enemies, and shifting alliances while trying to uncover why they were pulled into this conflict in the first place. The line between the two worlds blurs as secrets about Mao's missing friend and the true nature of the disappearances begin to surface, forcing the group to question whether getting home is even possible anymore.
