Each week, Shuukan! Story Land presents several different animated pieces alongside segments that are not animated. Across its 56 episodes, a number of the animated works run as short recurring series, among them Nazo no Rouba, Meibugyou Bun-san, Jo Keibu Jinguuji Youko and Remon Suzumori's Soudanjo. In one strand, people with all sorts of needs come across an old woman selling unusual goods at the roadside. Her merchandise turns out to be exactly what they are looking for, though dealing in supernatural items carries its own risks. The mix leans on comedy and slice of life.
