This is the one you hunt down after the main series ends and you're not ready to let E601 go. It's a light novel bundle extra, packaged with volume nine, and it behaves exactly like one: no world-shaking stakes, no spectacle, just twenty-odd minutes of letting these characters breathe in a register the TV run rarely slowed down for. Reviewers who came in expecting plot found it generic and formulaic, and they're right, the story itself is a shrug. What they kept coming back for is the character work, the small personality reveals that make the main series read differently on rewatch. The romance goes zero to a hundred with no runway, which is either the flaw or the entire point depending on how invested you already are. If you didn't love the show, skip it. If you did, this is the epilogue you were owed.

Lecty Eisenach is given the job of looking after the school's animals. When she reaches the pen where they are kept, she finds a chicken that she rescued from a cat not long ago. She names the bird Piyo-chan and begins tending to it, but Piyo-chan soon proves to be far more than an ordinary chicken.
