Two episodes of pure direction. Every frame tells you exactly who these five women are before they speak, and the animation budget goes to places it didn't need to go just to make you believe this ship is real. The Gnosis hunt matters less than watching a crew that actually likes each other move through a galaxy drawn with the kind of detail reserved for theatrical films, not OVAs that could have coasted on half the effort.
A crew of five women commands the Sol Bianca, a starship whose technology surpasses any other known vessel. These pirates roam the galaxy after riches, among them pasha, a mineral prized above all others, and the Gnosis, a legendary artifact said to come from old Earth. A stowaway who slips aboard after one of their raids tells them of that treasure and carries his own quest to rescue someone he loves, while the crew also seeks revenge on those who wronged them. The Gnosis, however, is held by Emperor Batros, the cruel ruler of the planet Tres, whose occupation of neighboring Uno has led to mass executions. With some luck, a sniper rifle that can fire from orbit and their advanced ship, the pirates set out after the ultimate prize. The two-episode OVA is a sci-fi space adventure.
