This is what a Sonic anime should feel like, character designs ripped straight from the games, story beats that respect the Adventure games instead of inventing something worse, and the kind of Saturday morning energy that makes you want to skip breakfast. Chris Thorndyke is a real problem; he's in almost every episode and half the fandom will never forgive that choice. If you can stomach a kid protagonist who isn't terrible and you want to watch Sonic actually team up with his friends instead of doing everything alone, the game-faithful arcs make it work.
