Anpanman saves the day by being exactly what he is: a bread-headed hero who punches problems with pure sincerity. The Rainbow Pyramid is the kind of adventure that doesn't try to be anything larger than itself, just a straightforward romp where the good guy wins because goodness is the point. Kids watching this get to see kindness work without irony or exhaustion weighing it down. Adults rewatching it feel that same uncomplicated warmth return. There's no twist coming. The pyramid is just a pyramid, and saving it feels good because helping others is supposed to.
