Spooky Kitaro is a 1985 feature film spun off from the Gegege no Kitarou TV anime that aired the same year. Rather than adapting existing material, it tells an original story of its own. The film mixes adventure, comedy and fantasy with horror and the supernatural, so expect spooky thrills alongside a good share of laughs.
